Once a location and its areas exist, decide what each area can use: which groups (brands or concepts) and which categories, like food or drinks.
You'll do this from: head office
- Click Locations, then Access location.
- On the Details tab, fill in the location's manager, contact email, phone and address, and click Save.
- Open the Areas tab and click edit on the area. Running one restaurant? One area called Restaurant is enough.
- On the area's Details tab, add the area manager if it is someone different, and click Save.
- Open the Assign groups tab.
- Under Groups, click Add group to give the area another group. Click edit to choose its group categories, for example Food only.
- Under Areas, click Add area category for each part of the area, for example Kitchen, Bar and Miscellaneous for chemicals and packaging you want kept out of your GP and stock.
- For each area category, click edit or Assign group to choose the group and categories it can use, for example the kitchen gets Food only. Click Save.
