A batch recipe is something your kitchen makes in bulk, like a mayonnaise. Cost it once and every dish that uses it picks up the cost.
You'll do this from: head office, inside a group
- Click Products, then Access group on the group the recipe belongs to.
- Open the Recipes tab.
- If you have not set them up yet, click Recipe categories and add the categories you use, for example Batch recipes (Food).
- Click New recipe, choose Batch as the type and click Create.
- Give it a Recipe name, choose the Group Categories (for example Food) and the Recipe category.
- Click Add Ingredient. On the Ingredient tab, pick the ingredient, enter the Quantity and Unit of Measure, then click Add Ingredient. Repeat for each ingredient.
- Under Batch Breakdown, enter the Yield (how much one batch makes) and the Yield Description (grams, millilitres or units). Add Wastage % if you lose some.
- Misenplace works out the Cost/Yield for you.
- Add the Method, Notes and Suitable For if you want them. Allergens come through from the ingredients automatically.
- Click Save.
You can ignore Price Breakdown: it is for dishes you sell.
